FS: Colony of Not-ORA Green Birdsnest $100 - Burnaby

Asking $175 OBO
Not looking for any trades right now - cash only !!

Crazy lowballers will be ignored
Delivery available for gas in the GVRD, but you get what I bring so I prefer you come look at it, and my truck is a gas PIG
Delivery will be based on kms.
And if you commit on delivery there's no backing out

I've had this one for 3 years this coming June
Current size is approx 10-12"wide x 8"deep x 6-7"tall
It will not comfortably fit in the bottom of a salt bucket, so come prepared with something for it to fit in, or risk breaking off some of the outer growth.
No worries as it will grow back in short fashion

This is the piece I brought home from Rich's July 2012

This is what it looks like today (it's a bit po'd from being out of the water)

It's now in my QT/Frag tank

Am I asking too much ? :noidea:

I'll take some honest opinions thanks

Is that its true color now? Is your white balance correct? Looks different than the first frag pic. If it is a true ORA green birdsnest, and such a huge one, I think that price is very fair, cheap actually.

For color reference, here is a recent pic of my ORA green birdsnest. And no post processing here, pic is straight from my camera.

That's a pretty big colony. But birdnest arnt worth much cuz they grow really fast. Did urs lose all its color or is it Cuz of picture lighting? Good luck with sale. Sum1 will buy it.

An ORA green birdsnest is no ordinary birdsnest. They add a lot of bright color to a tank, and are a nice contrast with other SPS.

Same critter as the first pic
Doesn't like my tank. Grows well but is a bit pale for my liking.

Ian/Ram3500 and Warren/Wardog have pieces from me and it colored right up in their tanks ...

I forgot, but what kind of lights do you have in your tank?

gregzz4 04-22-2015 12:48 AM

DT is 8 x 54w ATI

Maybe it'll color up in the frag tank. Although it's only a 65w PC 10K, there's no NO3 and PO4 in there

Maybe it's your color spectrum,... don't know. I have the Radions (had T5s initially), and very happy with the color of my SPS. Of course everything else in the tank has to be right too, esp P04, which is what I found to be the biggest killer of SPS color with my issues last summer. And with my bio pellet reactor, N03 is always zero.

gregzz4 04-22-2015 02:09 AM

My NO3 never registers and PO4 is always 0.03-0.02

Thanks for your help Walter
