Back wall aquascaping question
I'm thinking of attaching some things -- zoanthids, star polyps, maybe colt coral - to the back wall of my tank to let them grow there and create a backdrop. I'd like to get the whole back wall covered with polyps or soft corals. My rockwork leaves a lot of open space with the back wall visible in a lot of places.
Has anyone else done this, what are their experiences? |
While i havn't actually tried to grow corals on the back glass they seem to end up there anyway. I have pulsing xenia, gsp's, zo's and mushrooms. They all seem to be happy there but it could get interesting when they all meet up with each other

I have glued some yellow polyps and zoos to my overflow. The yellow polyps are spreading nicely (near the top in lots of flow). The zoos are not doing as well. I think I put them too far down and they are shaded by the rockwork. I plan on moving them/rocks when I set up the new display tank.
