10 or 14 k ?

I figure I might as well order my 400wt bulb from Aquaria Canada since they have them on sale for $50.Can't decide on 10k or 14k,is 14k too blue or a happy combo between 10 and 20k?Anyone have experience with 14k?maybe some pics?

They're prolly going to be similar to the SA bulbs:

Steve did a job on those ones already. Wonder how they're doing (still)??

Not sure if its the new ARC bulbs you might be buying but if you look in this thread you can see my result with the ARC 10K

Ivan was awesome enough to send me a 14k bulb in exchange so I will have a photo of that some time next week.

I got 10000 k bulbs that are SA and they appear green to me.

they are doing well after 8 months still. I am going to be doing a follow up in the next month or two on them.

Brent, they do have a slight green tinge to them but with actinic addition they are nice, I would never run any 10K with out actinic anyways, even my 10K PC's on my other tank look yellow when the actinic are off. at any rate the color green is in the middle of the PAR range so it is contributing to coral growth more than hurting it.
