Where to get custom glass top cut?

Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone in the lower mainland has ever gotten a custom glass top made for their aquarium? I have a 28 gallon JBJ cube, so it would have to be curved, and pretty precise.
Thanks in advance.

I know some glass shops will do it in Calgary, I assume you could as some in your region.

If it'll work, it'll be a whole lot cheaper to buy an Aqueon versa-top and have the sides cut off
The hinge and back strip are plastic so they're easy to cut
And anyone who can cut glass can trim the width to size
You could even just replace the back half of the glass to get rid of the back plastic strip

Make a cardboard template of your top and take it to King Ed's to see if a bowfront top will fit your curve

Thanks for the suggestion but the JBJ 28G isn't bowed quite that much, plus it has rounded edges, not angular.

talk to Fred at UAS Canada - they have a water jet table

or talk to anyone with a water jet table - I just know Fred takes on all sort of materials (they are into metal fabrication)

expect to spend money - I'd say $100 if you have material

Hence the cardboard template as they make a 16 and a 26. You may get lucky ... and the corners can be sanded.

Or you could talk to Wayne @ Candu Glass in Burnaby

Candu Glass is where I get all my glass cut.

Are they fairly pricey? I wasn't hoping to spend TOO much money on a glass top, preferably only around 30 bucks.
I might just go open top since I have an rodi reservoir on hand.

Auto glass shops

I used to cut mine at crystal glass until I went flat top and now I use my wet saw for tile cutting. crystal glass is as cheap as it gets.

It should be reasonably priced. Give measurements and call. Even cheaper if you pick up some free glass of Craigslist and have Candu cut it.
