Someone trying to Hack Accounts
 

I received an email today stating the following:

"Dear Nebthet,

Someone has tried to log into your account on Canreef Aquatics Bulletin Board with an incorrect password at least 5 times. This person has been prevented from attempting to login to your account for the next 15 minutes.

The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: 183.223.23.41

All the best,
Canreef Aquatics Bulletin Board"

Admins, is there any way to look into this? Also other members should just be aware this is happening.

In the mean time I have changed my password.

I posted about this last week asking that people ensure their passwords were strong.
I've banned IPs, but there are quite a few on the Internet, can't ban them all :)

Thanks. I haven't actually been on the forums in over a year so when the message suddenly popped up in my email today it set of major alarms.

Whomever it is, is using a ChinaMobility IP address and I have forwarded a complaint to their company as well.

It's coming from different IP ranges in China, doubt we can make it stop. Just make sure your password is secure. I'll watch for regular users suddenly selling iphones :)

If we could get good prices on iPhones, I'd be down for a group buy!

I also received this warning e-mail, I don't use the forums much but definitely do not want some on here using my account. Changing password as we speak.

I got the warning too (just about an hour ago). As usual, the IP address is from Beijing. Looks like people over there are on a role to take over canreef! Or maybe the forum owner got some enemies? :question:

I had multiple attempts of hacking of my computer at home last week thankfully have a multi-layered fire wall and 2 separate scanners operating on my system one checks viruses the other checks key loggers and worm programs it's not perfect as lots of software conflicts but it works unfortunately neither works on tablets or smart phones yet
