damn, skimmer pump died
 

Guess can't really complain as the Sedra 5000 on my ASM G3 has going 24/7 for the last 9 years but now need to figure out just replace the pump or get a whole new skimmer. I hate decisions.

as long as your impeller is still good then replacing the pump and switch the impeller over is much cheaper.

Hey Mark. I think I have a 5000 at home you can have or maybe I can trade you for a frag or two:) I'll check to see if it's a 5000 when I get home tonight. That being said... Im running the reef octopus recirculating ext 200 in sump and gotta say it is impressive. Set it and forget it. Not at all finicky. I can feed fish or dose my tank and it just keeps on doing its thing. No foaming over... nothing. It may be a good time for something a little newer :)
