Overfeed tank

Anyone have a son/daughter decide to feed the fish themselves? My daughter decided to do just that and dumped a whole container of flake food into the tank... I used a big fish net and scooped as much as I could, but I guess it's water change city for me...

hehe mine did that in the fresh water tank but that is the anti algae tank so I just left it and didn't worry about it.. I would have freaked if it was the reef

I had that happen when I was breeding discus, I didnt know it happened untill after work and lost both my pairs in one day. You might consider vacumeing your gravel as well

Can't remember where I read, but someone had a child add sand (catlitter) to thier Nano. Panic would set in real fast.

The tank was so clowdy this morning I could not see anything in it, and the skimmer cup was full. I have to do another water change tonight....

 Hope everything works out for you walter.

Im not sure what it is but the wee ones love to feed the fish...
Im going to give serious thought to a lockable "gun cabinet" for supplies when we have kids...

Sorry to hear that, good luck!

Maybe run some filter floss and some carbon to help clear up the water?

Hope you don't suffer any casualties, Walter. Funny thing about kids that age when they start taking an "interest" in a tank...

Reminds me of the time my youngest decided that our FW fish looked a little cold - and kindly turned up the heater for them, so they would stop "shivering."
