I enjoy staring at my tank for hours on end trying to convince myself that those corals in there are not dead or dying. Is this a form of self hypnosis?lol!

Anything that involves you zoning out to the point you will not be aware someone has walked into a room with you is clinical Hypnosis. :idea:

For example reading a book and being so into it you forget about the world around you.

Its the stasis between awake and sleep the subconscious mind awakening when the conscious has gone dormant.
