Open sump?
 

Hey all, real Marine newb here

I have started cycling my 55 gallon tank as of Friday

The way I have my sump is I have my overflow running in as well as my skimmer and heater

I have around 15 lbs of dry rock in there that has been in there since day 1 as well as reef grade sand around 1 inch

In the sump there is around 1 inch of crushed coral

Will I be ok?

Any suggestions?
