Plumbing 60 gallon cube question
I have just purchased a solana 60 cube and I am having a sump made up. I plan on making a durso standpipe as there is only one hole for draining. My question is in regards to best plan of action for piping under the tank. The sump will be 22" x 24" and in theory I could have the piping go straight down into the sump. Is a straight run down going to be my best course of action or would it be better to have a few bends to slow the water down a little?
Would love some input. |
Don't think it really matters. Whatever config works is fine.

Just out of curiosity, any reason why you don't go herbie? You'll never have to worry about noise.

There is only room for a single hole, couldn't drill a second one. Herbie you need two standpipes. |
Ah, that's too bad. :( I love my herbie set ups

why not use a stockman-uses less room than a durso.

I have room in box for durso but because of flange size of bulkhead I don't have room for another bulkhead. Do you think stockman is better than durso? Or just takes up a little less space?

I run my drain straight down into my sump and its silent.
