Hey all. I found this in my tank. It's about the width of thick elastic band. it's about the length of a long crayon.

bristle worm
i get rid of them after they reach 4-5 inches as they could become a predator
|
Predator of what? Never had any problems with these other than grabbing the odd one by accident. It's the flatworms and fire worms you need to worry about. These things only eat detritus and such. They will help clean the garbage out of your tank and all tanks have them. A sterile tank will never flourish.

Thanks for all the help :) i will keep him in there

Personally I found that bristle worms are a indication of excess food and or detritus. Increase cuc and decrease food and their population and size will go down

They get to be predators when they get up to 1" in width. And they multiply like wildfire! I keep Wrasses and a Filefish to keep them at bay.
It used to get very creepy when they all come out looking for food after my lights went out. Quote:

They serve a purpose as part of your cuc leave them be, but be careful when handling your rock work.
