Just 1 year!!... Wow, Nick, you move fast,... and a very fast learner... And very innovative with that black sand. You might start a trend here...
Congrats. |
Haha thanks Walter, I appreciate that. Iv learned fast because of all the people on here to help me:mrgreen:

Hey Nick your tank looks great I like the black sand as well.
|
Sweet looking tank, man.
|
Beautiful!
First time I've seen someone really make the black sand work ...kinda reminds me of those old black velvet paintings with glow in the dark bull fighters or what ever....except yours has class of course  |
Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words. The black sand was a risk because I really couldn't find a lot of info saying it was a good or bad idea. Even when I purchased it at J&L the guy at the counter didn't know if it was reef safe, other than it said so on the bag. But i don't regret my choice. If I could afford LEDs I'm sure the colours would really glow!

I agree with the others. First tank with black sand I've seen that looks good. Great job!!

Many years ago, I had a planted FW tank with black sand. Sure made the green pop out. So not really surprised it would do the same with the corals and the LEDs,... just as long as it is reef safe.

Nick. Amazing tank. Love the scape and how everything is layed out. Awesome looking corals and anthias by the way !
