Quarantine snails?

Does anyone bother qt'ing their snails?

Not me. Don't even float em

I put them in my qt tank last night and picked off all the hitch hiking mini starfish. Now wish I had thrown them in my dt instead! Not sure if I should do it now considering that snails supposedly are sensitive to parameter changes and being my qt has a lower salinity. Could be messin with the little guys too soon!

Wow Steve the whole sensitive to parameter changes just might be an overstatement!

I don't, but putting in anything wet without first going through a QT is inviting ich and other nasties into your display

Dump mine in DT after a ten minute float in the bag never had any loss nor any worry lil buggers are baby factories in waiting

Well I moved them over to the DT. I figured that the chance of ich landing on a shell was reasonable almost non-existent. Thanks for reassuring me!

I just toss mine in, they survive every time.
