Any one ever use These ? I am going out of town tomorrow for a few days and I thought I would throw one in the tank. So the fish don't get to hungry when I am gone. But I don't want to come home to hight phosphate .

I would leave it out of the tank especially if you have never used it before. You can't monitor what it might do to your parameters. And further more your fish will be fine for a couple days just to a heavy feed right before you leave. I have left mine for 4 day weekends with no problems just hungry fish when you get home. And if they are tangs they will pick all day anyways. Just my 2cents

If it's just a few days, don't feed them at all. I often go away for a few days or a week, and my fish are just fine when I come back. I have left them as long as 3 weeks without feeding, and no problems at all. My butterfly fish were the only ones that even looked a little thinner when I got back, but they all ate well, and soon fattened right up again.

You could do a lot more harm by trying a new feeder, or have someone else feed them.

Ya that's kind of what I was thinking. What is in the white block? and what could go wrong ? Everything can go wrong and fast. I just grabed it today and thought I might try it . I have always wondered about the little white blocks tho .
