Coral/anemone dip procedure

At the end of August I will add my first corals to my tank.

Probably Ricordia, blue mushrooms, Colt coral. Later I want a BTA. Already 3 different kinds of zoanthids and clove polyps are growing on the live rock.

I have read about different kinds of dips to rid corals of flatworms and other things. For example Flatworm Exit dip, freshwater dip, etc.

Should I be doing dips on my new corals or not?

I've only ever dipped my zoanthids in a mixture of FW, lugols and flatworm exit to get rid of any nudibranches or other nasties that might be on the rock.

I have never heard of dipping BTA's or many other softies though.

I use a drop or two of "exit" in the bowl or bag of all new corals I add. After the 2yr. battle I had with flatworms, I am not taking any chances.
