Redsea C-250 -- floor not level -- options...
so the area where My new tank is going is not perfectly level...
The Redsea C-250 cabinet has 6 rubber bumpers on the bottom of the cabinet.... According to the picture of my level of the area,,, is this too much of an angle or is it acceptable.... if not--- what are my options on shimming the cabinet ??? thx !!!! |
If you're worried, add a shim or two under the stand. As long as the tank is sitting properly on the stand, if the stand is a little off, it shouldn't matter.

Id also double check that your level is accurate. Those yellow plastic ones are infamous for being wrong. Not to say yours is, but I would double check just in case. In any case my tank isn't exactly level either and its been fine.

materials for shim
the most standard shimming material is cedar,,
I'm guessing that will compress over time... |

my 97 was shimmed on carpet with popsicle sticks I'm not joking. My 93 right now has been upgraded to a few paint stir sticks. They stay dry so I'd think you'd be fine too with the cedar shims.

composite shims..
