Wanted fish calgary

Looking at adding a new fish to my tank.
I am looking for something that eats bubble algea. Have a couple bubbles appearing and want to get it taken care of before it going crazy. I'm thinking some type of foxface or tang. Let me know if you have anything or have any suggestions.

One spot fox face or yellow eye Kole tang even would consider a sailfin tang(Red Sea one) wanting all these as juvenile 1-2" range preferably. Thanks

I think Golds has all of those.

Thanks
Hayden

So after visiting a bunch of stores and finding out one store had a sailfin I was after but wanted $35 more for it than there posted website price I decided to boycott there store and ended up getting a tomini tang from another. Not quite what I was after but am happy with the purchase. So am no longer in need of a fish unless you have a juvenile fox face I would still like one of those.

In my experience, eating valonia was more of a territorial/totem-pole-ranking behaviour of tangs. I have 3 tangs, and left to their own devices, they will not eat valonia. I'm guessing it doesn't taste very good.

However, throw a rabbitfish or foxface in the mix (aka "swimming garbage can for algae") who seems to love the taste of valonia, then the tangs will eat valonia. It's like a "I hate the taste of this, but to heck if I'm going to let you get all of it" sort of behaviour.

My personal favourite rabbitfish is Siganus doliatus. Pretty, stays small comparatively (most other rabbitfish/foxface species get enormous, so keep that in mind), and a fairly reliable eater of a few different nuisance algaes. There is also the very similar Siganus virgatus, IME even better at eating valonia, but also IME has been a fast growing fish.

Thank you for the information. I will keep my eyes out for one of these

Tony, do you see those around the city, or would I have to order one in. Doesn't sound like something I've seen.

Big Als had a bunch a week or two ago. J&L has at least one listed on their N&N page also...
