How long in total darkness to kill Clove Polyps
 

I have some rocks infested with Clove Polyps. One plan is to cook the rock in total darkness as long as it takes to clean the rock. Anyone have experience getting rid of these little buggers this way?

Plan "B" is to throw the rocks out in the snow bank. I'm pretty sure they won't survive that, but the rocks have some nice sponges I rather keep.

Speaking from experience. Your screwed!! I tried everything.
Only thing that worked for me was fluke tabs. And it required two doses. I'm betting Brad will second this.

I cooked my rocks for five months in total darkness and they never can back.

5 months!! That snow banks looking better all the time.

You can always sell your clove covered rocks to Kien. I recalled somewhere he was wanting more. :biggrin:

Rob, either these or snow bank. Then pour gas on snow bank and light on fire. Then dip in acid. Back into snow bank. Let sit until snow bank thaws. Then dry out in oven for a week. They may not come back after that. If you're lucky.

The snow now falling on them. Not worth the trouble for 4 rocks. I'm keeping the door locked just in case the damn things make a break for the house.
