my tank maxed out at 94 degrees today.couldnt even runn the lights at all.my tank looks really bad.what is the hottest your tank has ever got to and were you able to save anything?

I am freaking out when my tank hits 82 right now. That is only beacause my tank crashed last year when it hit in the 90's. I lost soo much that time.

The only advice I can give is get the fans running and dump ice in for top up water. That is what I am doing right now

I hit 92 for a couple of days last year and everything was fine. I put a fan on the sump and managed to get the tank down to a respectable temperature (88). This year even with the heat I'm managing an impressive 83. I also switched the pump on my skimmer from a mat 12 to a mag 9 which I think helped out alot.

im freakin out.my tank only cools by 5-8 degrees at night.

I think thats a good thing. See I think the major problems people have is with really drastic temperature swings. If the tank increases in temperature slowly, the critters have a chance to adapt. Now, mind you there is only so much heat they can take.

The max my tank has gotten is about 82. Usualy its under 80 tho. I only have 1 6in fan blowing across my tank. I evap about a gal a day. Sometimes less.
