Emerald crab breeding

May be the wrong section so sorry if it's in the wrong spot.

Last week I checked on my tank at night and I saw 2 of the emerald crabs sitting belly to belly. And now the female hides ally and can see her belly looks like there is eggs.
Has any one had this happen before with success?

Never heard of that, do you have pics? Sounds awesome

No pics went to get a pic if them doing the deed but they stopped just after. She hides her belly and herself so I'll try to get one and post it

the other night I thought one of my emeralds was acting odd. So I started to film it. It then shot out hundreds of larva out of it's belly.

I would keep an eye on the female

How small was the larva. I think care would be much like brine shrimp. But feed them with phytoplankton

I never saw anything but I only bought 2 emerald crabs in my old tank and 4 years later I had 6. could have been hitch hikers but I think it is more likely that they had babies. would be neat if you could get pics at different times to see how it goes.

They were very small, like tigerpods.

I never tried to care for them, I'm sure they ended up just feeding my tank
