Apex email alerts

Since the GMX servers stopped working, what is everyone doing for email alerts? Anyone get Shaw email to work? alternatives?

Never mind, got it working on shaw. Now I'll see if I can get the temp back up :)

What did you do to fix it Brad? I still haven't bothered to try and fix mine yet.

Maverick00 12-08-2013 07:01 PM

Im curious too? Havent tried to set up with shaw yet..

Just use mail.shaw.ca, port 587, Auth Enabled. To: your regular email addy (gmail, etc)

I haven't tried to get that deep into my apex yet. Took me long enough to do the initial setup. Might be inspired to try now, especially since my tank is having a hard time getting over 75 degrees this past week.

email alerts are probably one of the easiest things to do. Set up the alert and configure the email under network config

I had no trouble getting email alerts working but is there any way to program it to only send one alert? Since my skimmer has been on the fritz I have been getting alerts constantly.

Thanks Brad , I'll give that a try.

You could try setting Re-email delay (minutes) to 0. That might just send one alert.
