sorry if i sound stupid.. here is my problem ( my 2nd day having LPS )

i turned on light (150wat de 10K 2inch above water) at 230pm today, everything opened up nicely.. all in a sudden at 845pm, they seem unhappy.. is it too much light?

You do have the UV glass between the bulb and the lamp right? Also, what was the temperature of the water at 8:45? You might consider moving the lamp up. The optimal position to get good spread with a pendant would be between 6-12" above the water's surface. Not only does this give you a better spread of light throughout the tank, it will also decrease the chance of water spashing and shattering the protective glass on the pendant.

Another possibility is that the LPS are new to your system and may still be adapting. What type of LPS do you have? Also when you say they are doing badly, what do you mean? Tissue has retracted? Tissues has died off? If you could get some pics that would also help.

Good luck!

yes... i have UV glass there. reason i put so low because i dun want to loss the par when i am getting sps later on.

they are torch, hammer, and open brain.

temp was 82. they retracted.

today, they look normal(fully open) again.

btw, when should i be feeding them? morning? noon? evening?

I run my mh for 10hours a day, is was running 12 hours but i cut back because i added actinic lighting, everything is looking great . I run dual 250's 10ks SE on my 75G.

It's early for those corals yet give them more time to adjust.
