Heading to the Twin Cities
Hey everyone,
I am heading to the Twin Cities this next week coming up. Jul 5-9. I found a couple of locals that are getting rid of a bunch of live rock and was wondering if anyone has brought some over the border and what trouble is it? I have emailed Canadian Food Inspection Agency Import Services but thought I would ask here. Any info would be great. Thanks Dean |
You would want to talk too Canada Customs Not the Canadian Food Inspection Agency Import Services, They deal with products for human consumption. Anyways I believe you still cannot legally bring live rock back from the states unless you have a the proper permits, since the Live rock is protected by being on the CITES list.

Jesse,
Here is the link I am refering to. See if this makes sense to you. What you said is what I originally thought also. http://www.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/science/aqu...namental_e.htm Dean[/url] |
you need a Cites permit to bring the rock back. No permit and it will be confiscated and you will have a court dae to attend to. the last guy that was caught received a $2000 fine and a criminal record.

Thanks for the heads up Jayson.
