Safe curing time for PVC cement?

I need to redo some of my plumbing and wanted to know how long I need to let PVC cement cure before it is safe to run the water through the pipes.

I know that it sets up almost immediately but how long before it is non toxic to the tank inhabitants?

TIA

5 MIN is how long I wait.

FWIW I posted the same ? on RC and this reply seemed to be the most sound and got conscensus from others as being the safest bet.

"It will set in 30sec, but it won't fully cure for 2hours above 60degrees.

I'm a purchasing agent for a plumbing company I called my Oatey sales rep about using their products with Saltwater tanks and he recommended that after 2 hours rinse the parts throughly with ro water and allow it to air dry."

I hope that helps anybody else that may have the same question

Cheers
