Potters Angel
Just wondering what everyone thinks about a potters angel in my cube (18x18x18). Obviously bioload taken into consideration, do you think its to small for a dwarf angel? I was myself thought it might be slightly to small, been doing some research and can't find a consensus I have heard anywhere from 20-40gallons. I really don't want to get one if they would be cramped for space, but have seen a few and they look awsome.

I would ask if this is a good home for a dwarf angel... Given that they can grow to 5" it would seem too small, IMO. Not to be a downer on your plan, but I can't wait to put my Lemonpeel into the 108, and watch it swim - the bigger the better.
In a cube that size you're probably looking at some of the smallest reef fish available, to avoid crowding. (What was DJ's sig line again??) |
Re: Potters Angel
JMO, but I wouldn't put a dwarf angel in any tank less than 55g. They need lots of LR to pick stuff off, plus they like to be able to swim around a bit, too. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think they will grow to at least 4".

yah, thats what I was afraid of, oh well, back to the drawing bord. Thanks.

You can be sure the fish would NOT grow in a 18" tank, but it is far too small.for any Dwarf Angel  I would not even put a Cherub in a tank that small.
