What do you guys make of these things?

They're pretty cool. I put one in my tank a couple of years ago and it's still around. Never done anything bad that I can see.

Yeah not sure how that happened. I've reduced the size for dialup users (like me).

I added a couple conchs to my tank over the weekend and after a few hours I discovered my whelk feasing on one of the conchs. :frown:

I've moved him to my sump now.

Thanks for bringing that up! I'll remember to pull those little buggers out of there before getting a conch...

Probably best to play it safe then and throw these guys into the fuge next time I have one.

Alan, if the ones you have are the same as mine, they are fine with conchs.

They don't look like teevees tho, been in other threads, sharper spiral on the shell, max out about an inch or so. Some kind of nassaridae

I agree. I've heard from reliable sources that flushing hitchhikers makes you impotent and your hair fall out!
