Where to find GFO in Calgary?

I have decided to start gfo (hating the diatom) but can't seem to track down any in Calgary. Any idea?

Cerith snails will take out diatoms. But tanks still " new".

I know but its driving me nuts :( My old 20 gallon had the bloom for like a week or something and gone. This tank has it for over a month! And the snails seem to have given up on the diatoms and only eat the films on the glass.

Did you check with Concepts or CaCaReef ( Eli ) for GFO?

Eli is out of stock and as far as I know, concept is not bringing it anytime soon.

Both the big box stores will have it in stock, you can also use the product Chemi-pure Elite as its a mix + carbon.

Golds might also have some as well as Wias & Oceans.

If all else fails try J&L, they have never disappointed me.

Big ass sand sifting starfish will help with the diatoms on the floor as soon as I nipped the phosphates he got it clean within a few days

LOL. Its not that; sand sifting stars have a very bad rep of dying and they are predators so kill all the goodies in the tank.

Very true. I read that if you did keep them its 1 per 90 gallons. Any sand sifter is going to take its toll on biological in sand
