I'm interested in the CARs but that price is a little steep for my liking. If you end up dropping it or are interested in a trade (have a large sunny d colony up for grabs at the moment) please let me know :).

Zoaelite 05-04-2013 02:05 AM

The second frag is for sure Green Day Packers, I'm not 100% on the CARs though. The original candy apple red lacked yellow between the red and green pigments. I believe there was a wild colony imported by sexy corals they named the "Bowser Paly", these show the yellow morph.

Take a quick google image search, you will understand what I mean. At no time does this depreciate the value, I personally prefer the morph. Again please let me know if you want to trade.

if he got the frag from me which i believe he did(ive been wrong before) then they are candy apples , they look bleached though:)

iubond 05-04-2013 02:56 AM

It is not Candy Apple Red though. I took that picture under the sunset light. I will post a picture under the white light. They look a bit different. Anyway, when I got them I got them as Candy Apple. The part I like - they look nice no mater how you call them :).

iubond 05-04-2013 03:39 AM

That how it looked last summer.

I actually got them shipped over from BC.

High light will create the yellow band.very nice colony btw:biggrin:

iubond 05-04-2013 11:12 PM

Thanks. Regarding to high light: when I got them I used to have a metal halide. And I never saw a yellow band. Now I am using LED system and have the white light running at 50% and that yellow band is there . Weird :)

Zoaelite 05-04-2013 11:41 PM

Learn something new every day, thanks for the info.

iubond 05-04-2013 11:58 PM

And actually I might find some time this Monday to grag them. And then you can have some of them. As I said we can trade as well.
