I had aptasia. Took care of it with some peppermint shrimp.. but I did google it and i came across this thread: some person confused tunicates for aptasia... it looked more like tunicates, you people agree?

Definitely looks like aiptasia couple different methods to getting rid of it depending on how much is in the tank there are chemical means, manual removal means, biological means but I've found most effective for me is peppermint shrimp as a general rule they will gobble it up but not all pepper mints will touch it I have 2 in my tank but only one will eat it.

Here I took another picture of the same one and one of another cluster.
I had aptasia and this just does not look like it... Are there different forms that I am not aware of? |
It comes in many forms, sizes and several colours most common being reddish brown, Brown, white and clear(opaque)
|
i'm sure not seeing aiptasia in any of those pics. i was thinking sponges or something like that.
|
Sponges.
|
sea squirt and they are harmless
It my com with diffrent colors or just white |
Yah in the better pictures those are clearly a sponge/tunicate, the kind that like to live in the dark or in the shade. The first pic did look a lot like aiptasia though.
they're a good sign, so don't worry about them! |

alright guys. Here are two more pictures... I took the heater out for a clearer picture. I also noticed that I have a lot more then three clusters of this..
|
No question at all, they're a sponge. Totally harmless, some might even say beneficial. They're filter feeders and are a sign your tank is maturing nicely :)
|
It is sponge

|
BTW thanks for helping me out!
