Who is moving the coral in my reef tank?

I had small colony of Candy Cane positioned by the back wall but it would always get moved and some time to a good distance away from original spot.
One day it was thrown half a tank across from where i put it.
I set up a car dvr to catch it in action.

Anyone wants to guess what is moving this coral?

Here is the livestock list:
Large French Angel
Hippo Tang
Two clown Fish
Two yellow Gobies
Coris Wrass (juvenile)
Large Strawberry Crab
Large Bobbit Worm

Mistery solved ! I know now.
Just wonder if anyone had similar experience.

Will post the video tomorrow.

I'd guess the clowns... Especially if hey are clarkiis

RuGlu6 04-28-2013 09:00 AM

Sorry should have mentioned that Clowns are Percula so they are smaller then Clarki.
No not the clowns.
Thx for guessing.
you will enjoy the video when you see it later.

moving coral

my guess would be the Cloris wrasse-mine likes to pick up coral and rock and move them around-usually 4 times the size of him

reefme 04-28-2013 09:32 AM

If not clown then yellow coris wrasse.

Proteus 04-28-2013 01:47 PM

I would guess coris wrasse

AaronH 04-28-2013 02:09 PM

Coris wrasse for sure
I had a red and he would take anything not glued down and play with it

fishytime 04-28-2013 02:53 PM

my guess is hippo, just cuz it seems unlikely to most, mine moved frags on me all the time.....second guess would be the corris

fishpoops 04-28-2013 04:59 PM

Strawberry crab.

fishoholic 04-28-2013 05:00 PM

I would say hippo tang as well since I've seen them pick up and move frags around.

Coralgurl 04-28-2013 05:27 PM

I'd say the coris wrasse if they were just being flipped, but if they are being moved around probably something else....

The bigger the coris gets, the bigger the rocks it can and will move. I had a red adult and as beautiful as he was, had to remove as he killed a couple of corals by constantly flipping them.

Coral mover

My bet is the "hippo" Tang!
Had to get rid of mine cause he would empty my frag rack every day!
Man I hated that fish.
Keith.

I'm guessing the tang too. I had one once who would spend hours picking up small rocks and moving them.

subman 04-29-2013 02:30 AM

Wrasse

Gizmoh 04-29-2013 04:03 AM

I'm going tang. Mine moved stiff all the time as well.

I agree. Awesome. And a bit funny. Especially when it is someone else's tank getting re-arranged.

Thanks for sharing.
