Chinese market can't recreate vortech you say? Think again!
Found this....looks extremely promising for those who can't afford a vortech ;)

At 150 they are a 100 cheaper than an mp 10 , directional like a tunze , but also designed and made in china and honestly for that reason alone i would stick with something i know . If it nuked my tank because of chemical leaching or stray voltage id be pretty ticked.

I was expecting it to be like $80-$100; then it would look appealing. But still, hats of the the chinese market; they are just making this hobby affordable :) |
Interesting. Looks like what would happen if a hot looking MP40 went out, got plastered and made some bad choices with a smooth talking Tunze resulting in a love child. I'm sure both of them would regret the evening and be wondering how they could let such a thing happen.
|
isnt that more a tunze 6055 then a vortech....one of the biggest selling feature of the vortech line is the fact that there is no electricity (wires) in the tank. Looks to me like Tunze, so still Chinese cant recreate the vortech :)

They have recreated some of the special affects of vortech and not the look. Like Kien said, its the love child. Maybe the second one will have the look of vortech ;) |

When you ask anyone in the hobby/ industry what vortechs are, the first thing that'll pop into their minds I would guess would be the features of it being magnet driven and no electricity in water. Still not a vortech :) its more a tunze with more modes |

Oh Denny I PMed you in your other acc :) |
I use a Jabaeo pond pump 2500 submersible in my pond. Been running for 4 years perfectly. I also run a large 55 watt uv light from that company and with also works like a charm.
I'd buy anything they make for an aquarium now. You cant beat the price. And if it works as listed your laughing. I know I am. My pond pump was 75 percent less than high end brands and it's already outlasted high end brands I have had. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk 2 |
Nick at reefsupplycanada has these already...not sure if stock arrived yet or not though.
|
I've been following these on Reef Central for a bit now, and everyone that has switched to these have been extremely happy with them. Everyone says that they are very comparable to a tunze. Now it's just a waiting game to see the longevity of the product (if any.. lol).

hey guys, since im a Chinese Canadian here, I did a small research on the new wave maker on the official website in chinese, and also went to check the MSP on the TAOBAO(the chinese version of ebay), your actually looking at $60 for each exclude shipping tho. As a serious hobby into this, I honestly wouldnt risk my tank with this Chinese unmature product, you know even food in China these day is poison etc.

One of the forums on Manhattan Reefs claims there is already a mod for these so that they can be controlled by an Apex.

I have sent them an email requesting a quote for shipping. The pumps are MRPed for like $30 or something! Now that is a tag I like and people using it are loving it.
Jebao is no generic brand and they have been in the market for a long time and their pumps are quite popular. So I will give it a try :) |
Me too , thanks for the tip . I ordered one , for the price worth a try .
|
would not trying one especially on a frag tank.... did you guys buy it from fishmarket.com??? Group order anyone ? ( > 8)
I do have a tiny jebo fountain pump and it works fine..probably the smallest pump about 1.5" square I have even seen. ( was even thinking of using it for a nano tank. msjboy |
