Who has shallow reef
 

Wondering who has shallow reef. And what you like or dislike about it

I have 24x24 glass going in to be cut down. Don't know if I want 12" or 14" high

Check my reef. It's only 10"H, 9"W, 26"L. Love my reef. Perfect little tank. It's all about rock layout and what you want to keep IMO

Make sure waterline is 2" below the rim or you'll be cleaning salt residue DAILY...

Mines 36"x24"x12"h

Have a fluval 6 gal edge and quite like it. I keep the water high so you can view tank contents from the top glass.

+1. My tank measures 96" x 16" x 16" and I love it. I run 3 Kessil a150w(yes, only 3) on it. It's a mixed reef that's been up and running a year and everything grows and colours up very nicely in it.

LOL- so true! You talk about shallow 12 inches, meanwhile our fish are probably scared to death while swimming in 24 inches of water as opposed to 24 feet.
