the margarita from reef farmers is pretty rad as well

He has what he CALLS pearlberry and wolverine but they arent the same acro's as the ORA pearlberry and the reefreaft wolverine.

Wolverine has yet to be captive grown by anyone yet.....to me that is what I wait for.

I found two stores in Ontario that have wolverine. I would like to see if the color changes in captivity as the pics are all the reef raft pic

im 2 for 10 on sps from burc. ive had more success with my roll ups from timmies.

if i do order from the shop down east i was hoping to put up a bit of a group order. if you want in then ittl be cheaper in long run

is this coral site canadian (reef farmers) and what are the best sites to order rare coral from

As usual I did goggle the SPS to find out how things look and wolverine really got my eyes on. I searched for the reefraft's wolverine and came up with this one:

Since I am no SPS guy and reefermadness said they are not the same, I was wondering how to distinguish between the real and the so called fake one. Confuses me. Would appreciate someone explaining it to me :)

Getting ahold of jay is like finding bin laden. But the mentioned store has reef raft pieces

Sure.....Burc seems to have imported one very similar to the one Jay imported. Both wild pieces....maybe the same...maybe just similar. IDK.

I do know that Burcs Pearlberry is nothing close to the ORA pearlberry.

Be wary of any pics from wet thumb frags...ie. wow factor.

Actually scratch that....be wary of any sellers pics with out hobbyists pics to back it up. Also be wary of wild SPS.....they have a tendency to change colour.

That pic is from reef farmers. But I do understand all tanks are different

+1 I find there's a Huge differance between the colors on my two tanks on the same peices ones got 150 hqi and the others a t5 fixture some of my zoas look like totally different peices

I inverted that image. i think the wow coral is in fact a reverse wolverine.

what's the EXACT lineage of this coral anyways? if it's not directly from the CREATOR himself it's not legit.

Don't know about pearlberry but the wolvs did look like the same to me and hence got confused.

I guess SPS gurus should start cutting the SPS and put it under microscopes to name accordingly so that no mix up happens :razz: Because as far as I know, same corals can morph different colors in different tanks...

The longer a coral has been in captivity the less likely they will change colour IME/IMO.

This is why I stick to Zoas... Clearly a much easier time trying to identify "Fire & Ice" and the 1000000 other morphs that look like that but have fancier names.
