Your stuff looks great! Do you have any closer-up shots of your corals?

bluetang 05-09-2004 08:09 PM

Very nice.

Can I ask how you feed/supplement the tank?

d

To tell you the truth. In my experience less is more. I do a Kalk drip every couple of days and i also give them about a tsp of liquid pytoplankton every week or so, mainly for my Maxima Clam.

Really nice. May I ask what the lighting is on that tank

bluetang 05-10-2004 01:56 AM

I have a Coralife PC 2 x 65w. 10k and a 6500k actinic and Amazingly enough the clam is doing awsome.

Delphinus 05-10-2004 07:09 AM

That's a truly keen coloured brain too. Wow.

Bob I 05-10-2004 03:45 PM

It really shows what can be done with smaller tanks. Who needs those bathtub sized tanks with all that expense  . It also proves that clams don't need MH to thrive.
Congrats on a job well done.

Thanks for your comments. I am however probably getting away from my own philosiphy that less is more, but I am just about finished my nano calcium reactor, I've been building. I've been struggling along with Alk issues and due to that comes that good ol hair algae. I'll post some pics once complete and set up. Hopefully it will work and wont have any adverse effects on these guys. I guess the initiall thing is monitor, monitor, monitor..
thanks

I guess living where I do is a real boon. I honestly never measure anything, and have no idea what hair algae is, as I have never seen it in my tanks.
