Best frags?
 

Hey everyone. I'm going to be in Calgary in about a month, and I'm curious which are the "must see" coral places in the city? I'm from Brandon MB so most of my coral I bought a 3 hour drive away or online so I would love to see what Calgary has to offer!

Hit them all if you can, everyone has something different usually. Concepts or Denny actually ), Ocean Creations, Wei's, Golds & even Big Al's.

+1 to this. I got a little head of frogspawn off him a couple months ago. Thing is the size of a soft ball now and beautiful.

Alright so I contacted snappy and unfortunately he is going on a nice warm holiday while I'm in the city, so he's out. I have found concepts, ocean creations, and wei's sites and got their phone numbers and business hours. Golds is apparently not open weekends according to their website so I guess they are out. I also have called caco3reef and haven't had luck getting ahold of him yet but hopefully I will get ahold of him by the weekend. Is there any other places I should hit? I am a big zoa/paly collector, also Acans, and a bit of SPS as well. Thanks for all the help guys! Can't wait to see what everyone has

Golds is definitely open on the weekends they are closed on Thursday. It's to bad your not in Calgary this weekend cause concepts has thier 10 dollar frag sale going on.

Damn! That woulda been nice to see. Oh well, hopefully he still has some nice frags left when I'm in there. I don't mind paying more than $10 for frags haha and golds website says they are only open Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Probably old info so I will give them a try too! Anywhere else I'm missing?

Not really except big als or people in Calgary, Levi (zoa elite has tons of zoas and collectible ones) or Denny is another zoas collector.

Open today 11-4 at concept aquatics, all zoa frags $10 some sps in there too for $10:) 3650 19 street ne bay 8:)

Damn I really wish I was in the city this weekend!

Believe me you come to Calgary next weekend and honestly between going to concept and making it into my cave you will have a bag full to take with you to show them off:biggrin:

It was awesome to meet you Eli! Loved seeing your tanks and i appreciate you letting us come check it out. The frags are lookin good in my tanks. Also, it was great to meet Denny too. The Achilles is looking good in the QT tank. After shopping in Calgary for some nice pieces, I can't wait to move there in 6 months!

i seen a pic today of your achilles in qt , im glad he made the trip , mike had a good laugh at me this morning saying it didnt make it lol i was baffled as i packaged that fish to survive a war lol


next time your in we will go raid my zoo stash at home;)

Denny I wanted to update you on the Achilles. I have been feeding her every day in QT just to see what she would eat. She fluently eats mysis shrimp, blood worms, pellets, and nori without hesitation! She's an amazing looking fish and I'm pumped I finally got one

thats great to here man , sounds like yours is as comfortable as mine , ive always wanted one and finding ones that small that eat isnt easy.
