Massive hammer coral "frag" available
 

It seems that this is about an annual thing. My hammer coral got so large that it simply collapsed the other day. As a result, I have some significant pieces. I haven't sorted it all yet, but I can easily supply a piece of 25 or 30 heads.

Interested? Maximum price $50.. $20 minimum, depending on what you want. Anything really small I will probably just toss.

I'd like to see a pic of the mother colony! How big does it have to be to collapse??

Larger than a basketball...smaller than a medicine ball.

I just pulled it all apart and have about 10 significant pieces, and 1 that has too many heads to even attempt to count. That piece alone likely has 50-100 heads, depending on how large a head has to be before you count it.

Sorry, I'm just not willing to work that hard at this. If you are really keen on getting some, just PM me before you make your next lower mainland trip. Chances are, I have frags of this coral available.

Mine did the same, virtually identical to yours.
except I was picking it up to frag and it just fractured.
Ended up trading most of it to JL. atleast I got to spend the credit on boxing day. lol

I do know I jave to be in vancouver in about 6 to max 8 weeks, but shipping would be easyer, as aligning a meeting always turnsout to be hard.
