I emailed asking if these were negotiable. However, I kind of expect either no reply or a FO reply. :)

The Grizz 01-04-2013 04:24 AM

That means my 2 regal tangs that are 6"+ are worth at least $650 ea.

Unless you shop at J&L, in which case they're $85/ea :)

mrhasan 01-04-2013 04:40 AM

Must have taken diver certification, bought a boat, went to places and caught them with his/her own hand! Maybe the mortality rate and bad transportation along with all the side costs got the prices so high.

Coralgurl 01-04-2013 04:43 AM

Damn, if that's the going price of fish, my blue tang I just sold was a steal!

Hopefully they are typos!

Nano 01-04-2013 04:51 AM

Holy shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

Are you f-ing kidding me?

Borderjumper 01-04-2013 04:52 AM

Things on the island are always more expensive.. Ferry transport ain't cheap!

I could take a limo to the mainland and buy these, have dinner and still save money :)

Oilers 01-04-2013 05:44 AM

Wow.. and I was listing my naso tang for $40. Good thing I didn't sell him. Grizz.. if you still want him, it will be $400 now

lockrookie 01-04-2013 05:53 AM

A person has to watch this add if it sells... We know a goods market to get into.

SeaHorse_Fanatic 01-04-2013 07:02 AM

They must poop pearls or gold nuggets.:twised:

Chaloupa 01-04-2013 07:26 AM

WOAH....I think tomorrow my staff will be upping our prices A LOT! HOLY!

Spyd 01-04-2013 11:47 AM

Wow! Those fish must poop gold for those prices!!!

Leah 01-04-2013 11:50 AM

Wow Great Price!
I bet it includes shipping.

jtbadco 01-04-2013 12:56 PM

This person is either ridiculously optimistic or a little slow.

I think he must be feeding the fish gold flakes or shark fin or something really expensive that he would think they would increase in value like that.

I sent him a link to the J and L website and suggested he rethink his prices if he actually wants to sell them.

My guess is that his wife told him he has to sell the fish. So he said fine, and listed them :)

Thanks for the idea should my wife say the same thing!

kien 01-04-2013 03:23 PM

My guess would be that these fish poop gold.

pinkreef 01-04-2013 06:41 PM

Barb, are these your fish??

KevinK 01-04-2013 08:35 PM

i think I have to start a fish farm,

Get 100 or so of each, grow thme from 1 to 6 inches in a year, sell them off and get myselve a nice boat of the $ i made.

So guys, there you se, all of our tanks went up 10x in value

Whome is saying a reef tank is a $ pit, when what you buy is going up in $ by the day.

chris121277 01-04-2013 08:57 PM

Egads!!!! maybe he was :drinking: and forgot the decimal point?

zum14 01-05-2013 03:33 AM

I dunno, we all pay hundreds of thousands of $ for a few lifts of lumber, couple sheets of drywall and some rocks. Break down a house and its not worth all that much. As long as one person is willing to pay those prices more and more will start upping theres. ( Hahaha it is pretty funny though) My money is on the wife post. (its what I would do  )

windcoast reefs 01-05-2013 05:29 AM

I cant believe those prices, either the wife wants them gone, or he is off his rockers. Either way those prices are unreal, I cant believe somebody would even think those will sell!

Its times like these that I have no faith in humanity

 that was my thought

The wife thing makes sense though, if you didn't want to actually sell them but were forced to put them up for sale, listing them for way more then cost would ensure they don't sell.
