far cry 3
Lol.. I've seen a few posts regarding video games and who's playing them lately so I thought I'd ask, is anyone playing far cry 3? Just overheard that's one of my xmas gifts :P (my wife thought she was being discrete)
How is it? I used to play the first one back when Xbox came out but since switched to the trusty ol' PS3 |

Far cry 2 took away my interest from the series. Not sure whether I will give 3 a try. But I think if you liked 2, you will like 3 too. Impatiently waiting for Crysis 3! That's one series that have not let me down :D |
Yeah 2 was soso personally I am impatiently waiting for gtav

I've turned into a full time COD player. Rocking black Ops 2 as I type lol

I've been playing for the last 8 years or so, as well as battlefield but I'm growing tired as the challenge is minimal. Once I learned to (what the kids call) "quick scope" and use the tomohawk there was no challenge left. So I haven't really played anything in a while aside from gta4 a few times and need for speed. I mean with a 6.79 kill to death ratio lol why keep going? :P Kinda stoked to see how far cry 3 will be. I hope it has decent online gameplay. |
Well help an old guy out lol I can't figure out how to quick scope to save my life

Lol practice makes perfect. Do you play on pc or console? I found ps3 easiest to do it on just cause I like the controller. Basically just line the guy up in your cross hairs, then click aim and hold you breath at the same time. Then fire lol its hard to explain I'd have to show you :P for me I just do it.. and no scopes too. For that depending on the game I like the L96A1 (black ops) MW2 and 3 I like the Barrett 50cal or intervention, black ops 2 I like pretty much all the sniper rifles but the DSR-50 would be my top choice for bolt action where as the XPR-50 would be my choice for semi-auto or comparable to the Barrett 50 cal in some aspects. Depending on your system I could give you a schooling one day, but would prefer mw3 over black ops 2 as its easier to learn on mw3

Holding your breath helps a lot I find, especially keeping the gun from swaying when pulling in to aim. Most of the time I do it so quick I don't end up aiming long enough to look down the scope lol. I find if you can get them in the cross hairs the ones prior to pulling in to aim, along with holding your breath to steady your aim you should hit your target almost every time. Lol now I want to play hahaha but I'm on strike til I get to try out far cry |
Here's a little tutorial on it. Pretty straight forward and once you learn to do it on the fly you'll be really tough to kill.

another COD player here, but looking forward to some reviews on FC3.
|
I'll have a review in a few days I'm sure :P
Man we almost need a canreef cod clan hahaha |
i hear far cry 3 is the THE tits. haven't had a chance to play yet
|
I prefer battlefield to cod but was playing lots of black ops 2 the weekend after i got it.
I then for the first time in ages brought my PS3 on the road with me only to have it not play disks any more after i got to work. time for a new one i guess. Currently twitching due to lack of FPS action. |
Ha yeah I get an itch to play too sometimes. Bf2 and 3 are probably my favorites as well, a little more of a challenge as there's gravity on the bullets so you have to guess for that purpose
|
I'm not playing FC3... I might try the downloaded version to see if it's worth paying for, but FC2 seriously sucked.
I'm mostly played Planetside 2, it's free on Steam, and has the MMOFPS feature which is cool. |
Well I've played for about 2 hours now and feel I probably haven't scratched the surface yet. But so far so good. Great graphics, smooth mapping.
