New 67gal build
 

I know 67gal is an odd number but that's what it worked out to be with the measurements I wanted. I contacted my buddy Denny at concept aquatics in Calgary and he hooked me up with the glass for my new tank. All the cuts and the notching was done at concept while the tank build and drilling were done by myself. My new tank measures 46x22x14 with external overflow drilled for bean animal style drain system. I now have my tank doing its first water test. I am currently waiting for my new stand from the grizz. I have been informed that the stand is ready for me. Whoop Whoop. There is a deletc mce 600 protein skimmer going on this setup. I will be running a 4foot WavePoint 4 bulb T5 fixture. I have a 55 gal sump with built in refugium. I will be running a 900gph return pump and two corila power heads.

Looking good so far. Why did you go so shallow?

The reason for a shallow tank is to have a nice look down tank. Originally I was gonna use it as my new frag setup but I ended up turning my nano into my frag tank and this is gonna be my new display for all my stuff

I love the look of the external overflow.

Thanks. I didn't want an internal overflow as it takes up too much room in the tank.

Well, at first I thought it was a duvet but I suppose it is just a well quilted comforter, much like a sleeping bag, minus the zippers. Anyway, carry on.

Everyone I've talked to does not like nor would they do business with the grizz as they know how he treats his customers. Greg was told that the stand was not wanted till mid January and he proceeded to bring it up 3 weeks early. I offered to pay for the stand in advance and I was told by Greg to wait till the stand was built. Stand was ordered for mid January not christmas so according to my records the stand was payed for according to the order

Your such a lier, you wanted the stand a week before I was able to bring it up so don't try to play the victim here. I have your text messages to prove it too.

You're kidding right? Greg is a top notch guy and bends over backwards for his customers. You jerked him around a little too long and he didn't like it.. sure seems warranted to me! :doh:

Fairly certain calling other members names (especially one like that) is a good way to get banned. It has been called to the mods attention.

Obviously you're not talking to the right people, cause when I bought a stand from Greg he was excellent to deal with. He even helped me carry it all the way into my basement, and with two big fish tanks and a bar in the way it wasn't an easy task. I've also been grateful for his help with a few other reef related purchases.

And only jerks pack and ship tanks to members in other cities, and build stands and light hangers and such when they have day job work commitments

Honestly though, it's a shame to see this get so far out of hand that it had to come to what we've read here
A ruined tank journal and a bunch of name-calling is a scar on Canreef

I'm sure the mods can clean up the thread if they chose to. Greg is a great guy and very helpful. It's too bad it came to this is right. and ppl Greg got paid. What's done is done carry on and all.
