Really bummed out...
Not as bad as Tony's losses, but still a bummer.
http://quinn.rdcpsych.org/fish/dead%...025%2004/1.jpg Some of you will recognize this as my S. hystrix colony that was doing so well. I made the stupid mistake of fragging it the other day and putting it in a bad location before I left for my weekend in Calgary. If I had been home to see the beginning of the tissue loss, I probably could have saved some of it. |
Can I have a frag?
How come you didn't put it back where it was before you fragged it... |
=( Bummer Quinn
|
I have birdsnests, three kinds now. Happy to provide nano material Quinn.

Re: Really bummed out...
Sorry to hear about it, Quinn :frown:
For my future reference, where in your tank did you put it, and where should it have been put? |
Is there any chance of it recovering?I had to cut a small piece off the frag from you,but otherwise it seems to be doing well(fingers crossed).
Anyway,I hope it comes back. Jim |
Ouch...sorry to hear it man. Seems alot of us have been hit with bad luck these past few months :(

Sorry to here about buddy

Bev, it would have been better if I had given it more flow I think. I also leaned it against a rock whereas I should have put it standing straight up from its base, but I was rushed. I couldn't put it where it came from because I had to rip it out of its epoxy to frag it in the first place. |
Was it a wild colony or did you grow this one out?
|
It was just a baby...
 |
It was a frag from Mike Noll. It grew extremely fast but for some reason was always picky in my tank.
|
I have one about the same size Quinn so if you want a frag just let me know
Cheers |
Steve I'm interested in that orange/purple one you have. I'll check with you and Deb later this summer.
|
Sorry to hear about that Quinn. Where had you originally gotten this piece?
I had problems with birdnest's in the past, they must be fairly finicky/delicate. The piece I have right now is a frag from Carpentersreef's tank from when he moved, and seems to be decently hardy. I think Canadian Man's birdnests is a piece of the same colony. It's a really keen purply pink under Radiums. I hope we can get you something to make up for your loss. |
