Heading to Edmonton today
 

On our way to Edmonton for my stepsons provincial football game final today...go cowboys!!

Anyway the game is in spruce grove, Id like to hit at least one store before we come back, I believ Calgary trail is the way out of edm and I think there are 2 fairly close together in the area. Just need names please.

Good luck in the game! I have to say that spruce grove team is the best high school football team I've ever seen, I think they would beat the golden bears (not that they are any good lol)

This is peewee football, 11 and 12 year olds...lol. The community is hosting all the provincial games today! Our team didn't lose a game all season, fun to watch these kids!! Cowboys have 2 teams representing!!

I personally wouldn't waste your time with Blue World. When I went there the lady working was fairly rude, and there was a dog running around the store floor. The selection isn't bad, but I think they could upgrade their tanks there for quality housing/water for the fish.

I have had nothing but a GOOD experience at BLUE WORLD. Shannon there is great and knows her stuff.

I am surprised that no one has recommended Aquarium Illusions in the west end.

If you are in Spruce Grove, and are on your way to Calgary, then AI is in your path.

It's on 170 st and Mayfield Road, in a strip mall just north of the Mayfield Inn. Very good selection and knowledgeable staff.

Shannon no longer works at blue world, but it is a nice store. No one said anything about AI or Red Coral because she was looking for stores on the way out of town along Calgary trail. If you go down highway 16A which turns into stony plain rd from spruce grove, AI would be back tracking. Although it is a nice store with great selection as well as Red coral of course, I do most of my shopping at those 2 stores, unfortunately they aren't on the way out of town.

Hours? Stop may depend on what stage of defrost my feet are at...lol

AI and red coral are open until 6

I thought they closed at 5 or 6 on the weekend

Stopped at AI, pulled wrong directions for RC. Next time!

That sucks that you missed RC Doug was working there yesterday, however I hope you enjoyed AI. It's a nice store with lots of selection, I work there Wed. nights :biggrin:

I'm bummed we missed it. I tried calling but couldn't get through. Tell Doug hi and let him know he's missed around here, both on cr and in a store. :sad:

Ai is a nice store, lots of coral selection, was really tempted to grab a couple maxi minis......wish we had a bit more time. Jason was irritated I made him drive through the city....roads were kinda gross....:biggrin:

Kind gross is a huge understatement! The roads were like skating rinks! I'll let Doug know he's missed.
