GHL Mitras are in!
Just unpacking them now... and all I have to say is..... finally an LED that comes with a hanging kit.... seriously....
I have already had the chance to play with a few of the other pre order units( with customers lol) and these LEDs are crazy bright.... so bright that they come with their own pair of sunglasses..... no joke.... I should be able to get em up and mounted tomorrow so stay tuned for more pictures and if you would like to come down to the store with the most LEDs on display, by all means come check them out.... Now the only question left.... to hang one over the 75 SPS tank.... or 2? decisions, decisions....FML http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_8731.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_8732.jpg http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b3...e/IMG_8733.jpg Steve |
the biggest thing you will see is the proper colour rendition, the LEDS blend like T5!

Seriously tho, those look sweet! |
End user reports have been fairly conclusive one unit will do 36x30x30!

Good thing I did not stop in on my drive home tonight. That's the last thing the gf wants to see after I have been gone for ten days is me walking in with the latest and greatest German reefer bling to play with.

lol I have your replacement MP10 board too.... you should have stopped in.... and ya you need these lights.... I can tell probably because there are so many pods that the different LEDs will blend better.... but alas my 75 is 48 long... maybe ill put the light in the center and have zoas on the outside or something.... but then where to put the other? so many choices!

GHL Mitras
I have had my light for just over two weeks and it is one awesome led . Colours in the sps are starting to change and looking great. I purchased this led from Steve at Red Coral, the programing is very user friendly.

Cool, good to know..... on another note, I couldnt wait.... got them both hung.... super easy to do by myself.... and now I have Mitras over 2 75 gallon tanks at the store, one growing SPS and the other growing zoas. Coverage looks good, I have them mounted 11 inches over the tanks and the light touches both ends.... typical shade in the top corners, but looks good so far.... playing with the colors now, so wont have time to post pics til tomorrow as im outta here right away!

The Mitras has a 2.4Ghz wireless card in it. GHL are producing a bridge that will convert the radio signal into a network signal and from there communicate with your router. The bridge will plug into your ProfiLux so you can control and program the Mitras through your ProfiLux as well as have online accessibility There is no current launch date for this add on but it is being developed now. |
That would be nice as it just happens that the Sps tank that I mounted it over has a profilux 3 Ex running, for the mean time is there any way to connect the two?
Steve |
If you mean connect the two lamps together, then yes, put one into slave mode (best details in the instructions)
If you mean connecting the the ProfiLux, then not at this time we are waiting for a compltely new software suite to come out. |
