lol nicely said... troll. lol

But in all honesty, I can't find a chart or any info telling me what offspring come from back species on a google search. Maybe I'm not doing it right?

NIVLEM09 11-06-2012 02:55 AM

ORA's got a picture of the said mutation'.check it out...

SpateD 11-06-2012 02:56 AM

Yeah I've looked at their website... haven't seen where it says what I'm looking for unless I'm in the wrong spot. Do you have a link to the right page?

SpateD 11-06-2012 03:04 AM

Alright, I read each one... I know what makes a black ice... and a snowflake.. but nothing tells me what a snowflake and black ice will produce.

I basically am trying to get a pair that'll breed both black ice and snowflakes.

NIVLEM09 11-06-2012 03:57 AM

ORA calls it a black ice snowflake..

SpateD 11-06-2012 04:38 AM

Okay, so you're saying whatever I get won't produce a black ice and snowflake... with the mild black, like a regular snowflake, they'll all be black ice?

NIVLEM09 11-06-2012 05:24 AM

are you planning to breed your clowns?its a full time job itself:lol:you never know, you might get some of the mutation(s) your looking for...

SpateD 11-06-2012 05:26 AM

I know it will be a while away from now, but I am looking to breed them.

Straight from the ORA website:

The Black Ice Snowflake (Amphiprion ocellaris) is a cross between a Black Ocellaris and a Snowflake. These beautiful fish were the preliminary results of our efforts to produce a Black Ocellaris with Snowflake patterns. This first generation still exhibits the yellow orange coloration of the normal Snowflake however it has ultra intense black markings around the irregular white bars.
In 2011 we succeeded in producing the first Black Snowflake clownfish, however the Black Ice Snowflake has become so popular we will continue to produce this striking variation as well.
