Snail ID
Saw this very very tiny snail on my glass. Anyone knows what sort of snail this one is?

Kinda looks like a harmless Collinista
Does it look like the one pictured below ? If so, it's an algae eater My tank has dozens of small ones right now - about 2-3mm http://www.aquayee.com/wordpress/wp-...2011/02/29.jpg By the way, your finger looks pretty bleached - you'd better check your lighting and nutrients :silly: |

Haha lighting and nutrients seems fine in my tank. That's the effect of flash and winter I guess. Being a brown person, I become bleached during winter   Thanks for the ID :D |

You are very welcome
If you don't mind the look of that snail, leave it in your tank It's population should go up and down with your tank's nutrient levels |

And as soon as it hit the water, one of my always-hungry clowns took it in the mouth and spit out. Not sure whether it is alive to see another day! |
It also may be a Stomatella, Check MarkoD's thread out. He got a great picture of a adult specimen.

Thanks for the another possible ID :D |
They are really easy to tell apart, Collinista snails have a little trap door to stay safe. Stomatella snails on the other hand look like they have shields on their backs, but always have some exposed flesh.
