Tiny Baby Rock Flower Anemone pics!
My Rock Flower Anemones have been spawning on a regular basis, and I thought I would share some pics of some of the new born RFAs. These are super tiny and dont have color yet. I find that it takes a bit longer to find out what color they are going to turn out. Anyway, here are the pics :smile::smile:

Amazing job as always Daniel. You really have mastered the KISS method for reefing and your corals/anemones show it.

So cool! Keep this thread going with pictures please?!
|
Awwww!! So cute! I've got baby mania right now ;)
|
Very cool Daniel
Good luck Daddy |
Sweet! Please take some pics as they grow.. I'm really curious how long it takes before they color up
|
I'll try to update this thread as the anemones get bigger. It takes about 4 to 5 weeks for the offsprings to color up. I noticed that they grow a lot faster if I spot feed them. This afternoon I noticed that one of the anemones was spawning while I was doing a water change. I made sure to put all the offsprings in a tray and track their progress. The only problem is that the timing is not great. Am about to board an airplane for New York and I don't return until the following Friday. I hope they survive and thrive on their own until I return.
Oh, I have a couple of short videos of the RFA spawning. I'll try to upload it when I get a chance. |
Wow.. Yes I would love to see the video!
|
Any new updates/pictures? cheers
|
Very cool!
I cant wait to see what happens when these get a bit larger and if you get some cool new colors. |

Thanks a lot for stopping by to check out my thread and for your feedback. I'll be selling some RFA's but not until they must get a bit bigger before I let them go. The salt brand that I use is IO. Quote:

This is my first post on this site. I was doing some research on rock nems, cause I have fallen in love with em and have started my own collection, when I ran across this thread. I would love to see some pics of your babies, sounds like you have some awesome color combos.
Cant wait for the 5 I have to start having babies |
Very cool thread. I'd be interested in one or two whenever they're ready to leave home:wink:

Daniel, great stuff on the RFA  I bought one just this last weekend on an impulse buy at the Toronto Frags show and would be interested in hearing more about the care of these animals as well as your experience with breeding them if that is the right term. I was told if I fed them frequently that that would cause them to start to have babies..
This is a quick picture I took of the one I purchased and sounds like the last one you describe... http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3778/1...146657_c_d.jpg |

Daniel! You don't update very often but when you do you go all out eh?? I'd lost interest in RFA but you one post changes all that. I need to swing by and see these in person if you don't mind? Just jaw dropping awesomeness!
|
wow Danie...are those your baby morphs or did you buy a bunch more ( if so, from where?) as shown in the styro container w/ them cups full of them nems? Are you still in the hobby as I saw your ad selling off your nano 50 gallon setup recently on another forum.

I bought 28 last week and received them on Wednesday. There are also tons of offsprings from the ones that have been in my tank for a while. I am still in the hobby but am now mainly interested in RFAs. |
Where's the smiley for jaw dropping! Those are wicked awesome!
Can I ask you to sell me one, or let me know where to buy?! Pm, or post? Pleeease Thanks for sharing the eye candy and undoubtedly costing me more in this hobby |
Have a great time on your trip and remember we love dive pics
