LF - Kole Eye Tang

Anyone know where I can get one of those around Vancouver?
I've been on the waiting list @J&L for a long time with no success yet :( and I would really like one for my 75g

have you tried Island Pets? I think King Ed might have one. Why don't you just call them to check?

Try "Reefdigger", I think he might have one for sale.

Hmm I wonder if I have enough time to drive from north van after dinner although its much safer for them to stay there for a day or two to rest.

Thanks for the heads up. Did they look healthy or stressed?

gregzz4 09-13-2012 02:02 AM

You're welcome - good timing

They looked good to these tired old eyes but take a good look as one may have some scarring or a little HLLE

The one I put on hold attempted NLS pellets while another did not

Ultimately you will have to decide how they look but I think you'll be happy

PS - I chose one from the west tank system as they put a small amount of copper in there ( although it's going through my QT regardless )
The last fish I bought from the invert ( center ) row of tanks is in QT with what I think is MI

I was at J&L earlier, they had a massive stack of new livestock boxes.

Let me know how it goes and how mine looks like... My Kole is in the tank above yours with the pair of triggers under Chris.

Thanks,

gregzz4 09-14-2012 05:17 PM

Will do

gregzz4 09-14-2012 10:19 PM

Kole is home and floating in the sump

Looks like these are actually Gold eyes - from Hawaii

Chris, yours and mine ate some mysis this afternoon
Looks like they may eat more if it was garlic soaked

And don't forget to grab some nori if you don't already have some

I took a very strong pair of reading glasses with me and it looks like your's is in great shape, just needs to fatten up a bit

Thanks Greg, I will be there tomorrow to pick him up :) and I soak all my food in garlic so I should be in good hands. What kind of nori did you pick up? I have a pack but I've been reading and apparently some fish like certain type of nori???

Also I've been letting algae collect on the side glass so the fish can eat something if it gets hungry.

gregzz4 09-14-2012 10:28 PM

Definately doesn't hurt to feed different kinds

I have both Ocean Nutrition green and red that the foxface tears through in mins

I picked up some Julian Sprung purple to try as Rich's dudes like it

Wheelman76 09-14-2012 10:30 PM

Mine loves the brown nori ,but won't touch the green kind , but I would imagine every fish is different.

Fish can be so picky and stubborn :)

I will pick up some different kind tomorrow as well for variety.
Cheers,

The purple nori is a hit

I just put some in for the fox and he's eating like I've been starving him
