NICE!

Does it floures under the blues or is it non-photosynthetic?

Bblinks 09-12-2012 08:31 PM

It's non-photosynthetic.

Check out this article.

Its non-photosynthetic and I just feed it once and a while. Light requirements are low.

Nice write up:http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...636&pcatid=636

Do not feed it, it will catch something itself whenever you feed the tank, otherwise it will get really really big.

I have mine for 3 years now, never feed it , its the same size I bought it and healthy.

You make a good point.. If it gets to big ill sell it haha :)

Beautiful! I love tube anemones. I can't wait to get one for the 75 I'm setting up soon.

+1 to pics, Jeontai

I'm in the process of getting my 75 up and running, will post pics once it's in it's new home.

haha i just got one too, now you got me worried. i cant keep the guy in one area. he keeps moving and unbarrying himself, its pretty annoying.. any suggestions

Wheelman76 09-13-2012 08:51 AM

I just picked up two of them as well , mine are staying where I put them. Maybe you have them in an area with too much flow? Mine are off in the back corner in a lower flow area.

MrGoodbytes 09-13-2012 11:42 AM

What kind of substrate do you have? How deep is it? Cerianthids like to bury themselves in several inches of sand at least. One thing I've heard of is placing them in a wide diameter PVC pipe section and filling it with sand. It may also be flow related, as wheelman suggested. Nothing too strong/direct from what I've seen.

Be careful with these anemones. They will grab anything they can and pull into their mouth :P

Jeontai 09-13-2012 04:26 PM

Lighting is also an issue to check out, they are not find of too much light.

ashr 09-13-2012 04:38 PM

Thats why I will try and keep him small. I have him in the front of my tank where not to many of my fish swim
