Vortech Wavebox
 

got bore today and decide to make an MP10 wavebox.

Quick note, tank is 24X24X16. MP10 puts out enough flow of the coral, but, couldn't make any waves. till now

Any DC pump with a controller should work. And the reason I use the Vortech is because I only have vortech in my system and with it I can build lower profile box, please maybe even glue on some frag rack.

Is it quieter than the Tunze wavebox ?

nope.. you will still get the dry side noise. However, it's possible to run at lower power and create the wave. Vortech is fairly quite at 80% power.

I dont think that word "quiet" goes together with ecotech pumps....:mrgreen:

it's just a simple box made out of 1/8" ABS plastics, took me less than 10 minutes to make. and a hole big enough to put the mp10 inside.

It's made in Richmond by a Taiwanese guy, do you really want to see the craftsmanship...:twised:
