Nice. Do you like the 10k's better? And I thought you only had blue corals!
 |

Thanks,
Jack, I have always liked the 10K to 13K range better than the higher K bulbs as I think the radiums and such make everything look to blue. the only issue I have with the 10K SA bulbs is I am used tot he 10K AB's which are a little more blue but still look white. I am slowly getting used to the sligh green tinge of the SA10K bulbs. Props, my tank is only 3 foot long so with a bit of a sand bed I can aim the tunze how I would like to. if anyone knows how to remove a sand bed with out removing the rock let me know  other than that I love the tunze, massive water movement with little power. Right on. Have you tried any Ushio 10k's before?
All these were started from frags pretty much, right? |

in the last month and a bit I have been run over with a red hair algae. looks fluffy kinda like cotton candy. but it is affecting a couple corals so I am planning a day or two to remove all the rock.. most of the water, pull the sand bed, clean the rock and put it back together.
I am tempted to try a sea hair and a boat load of blue hermits first though... like 50 to 70 of the little buggers. Steve |
Steve - very nice photos, I mean tank. BTW what kind of ballast do you use ot run your 10K SA? Would PFO TAR do the trick, or should I go for PFO HQI.
