Crab!!!!!
Can any one tell me what this guy is

I'm confused are you selling him or looking for an ID?:lol:
Not sure what type but he looks like a crab that would go immediately to the the sump or pot for supper... |

If you're trying to ID it, it goes elsewhere, such as Reef So, with that said, if you're lookin' for advice, I'd say put it in your sump or take it to the LFS so they can feed it to something ... It's not a safe lookin' crab :smile: |

looks "Sally lightfoot-esque" to me.....some literature and websites list them as reef safe, but one look at those pinchers will tell the real story......not reef/fish safe.....

seriously though I have no clue :lol: obviously. if he's mantis food, make sure you keep an eye on him, cause he does look mean enough to eat a mantis, try and get the battle on video!!! |

Pretty sure thats a Charybdis japonica, or Asian paddle crab, looks alot like him and if you look up more swimming crabs of the family Portunidae there arnt many that look like that. Should check out google for the latin name there and know this is not a reef safe crab either way, if it has paddles like that it can swim after health fish and most like will eat anything it can catch. Hope that helps :)
